Not per user. Not per feature tier. $149 a month covers your first 5 people and everything Untangly does. Every seat after that is $49 a month. Billed once a year.
There is no higher tier.
Roles, permissions, the API, white labeling, activity logs. The things most software keeps for its top plan are in the base price here, so nobody at your firm is ever told that the thing they need is one tier up.
The replacement math
Before you weigh the number, add up what it replaces. A typical firm's pile: a project tool, an eSignature subscription, a scheduling link, a time tracker, a portal. Each one per seat, each one per month, each one renewing quietly.
Add yours up honestly. Most firms land somewhere between about the same and meaningfully less, and they land there for one system instead of five, one login instead of five, one bill instead of five.
Pricing questions, answered plainly
What counts as a seat?
Anyone on your team with a login: partners, staff, admin, seasonal preparers. Your clients are not seats. They use the portal free, with no cap.
We are two people. Do we pay for five?
Yes. The base covers the practice rather than the person, up to five seats. It means your bill does not change the month you hire your first admin, or your next three people after that.
What if we grow mid year?
Invite them the day you hire. The seat is added when they join and prorated to your renewal date, so your plan stays on one date.
Can we drop seats after busy season?
Yes. Remove someone and their seat comes off straight away. The unused part of the year is credited to your account and taken off your next charge, so a seasonal preparer only costs you the months they are on the team.
What do added seats cost?
A seat past your first 5 is $49 a month, billed for the remainder of the year and prorated. It renews with everything else.
Is migration extra?
No. Moving your clients, documents and open work across is part of the subscription, however many seats you have.
Is there a contract?
You pay for the year and you can cancel online whenever you want. No multi year lock in, no auto escalating renewal, no exit fee.
What happens to our data if we leave?
It exports. Clients, documents, notes, time, all of it, whenever you ask. We would rather earn the renewal than block the exit.
